Biomutant PC Game Account Steam Offline
The main character of Biomutant is an anthropomorphic cat suffering from amnesia, which at first appears as a blank page, as the game’s narrator mentions during the process of its creation. I must admit that at this point I started to be very concerned about the storyline of the game. The theme of the hero without memories is one of the most played games in the history of games and it can influence the development of the whole story. However, it quickly turns out that my fears were completely unnecessary.
The game begins with the return of our hero to his homeland after several years of wandering in the wasteland. While trying to get through the closed wall surrounding the last thriving place on Earth, he meets an old friend of his parents who will quite quickly remind us of who we are, where we come from and what is our goal. They are helping one of the four tribes inhabiting this land and saving the Tree of Life from destruction.
The first thing that catches the eye when playing Biomutant is the world represented, its inhabitants and the form of the story that takes us an indefinite number of years ahead when humanity ceased to exist. The remaining animals have to deal with the effects of the ecological disaster caused by the Toxanol mega-corporation, whose radioactive waste not only led to our destruction, but also to the mutation of all creatures. They took on human characteristics, created their own community, and lived in complete peace for some time. Their life and philosophy were inspired by the culture of the East – children trained martial arts from an early age, a balance was sought between every aspect of life, including the darkness and brightness that live in each of us. However, there are certain events that split the entire community into four tribes that fight not only with each other but with the Predators, a faction full of brutal thugs waiting for the lives of all the peaceful inhabitants of this world, and with the Life Eaters, the four huge creatures that are a threat to the Tree of Life, the focal point of the land and a place of worship worshiped by all tribes.
The very idea of the world is very intriguing, where, despite a huge catastrophe, nature regained its rightful place. The narrative form, known from such Supergiant Games titles as Hades or Bastion, makes this game more than just an open-world production. Each character speaks a language that is completely incomprehensible to us, so the main role of the exhibition is played by the narrator who not only describes all the dialogues in a very specific way, but also comments on everything we do, no matter if we are running, climbing, fighting or just we will stop to admire the beautiful world for a while. Thanks to this, the game quickly became an interactive parable or a fairy tale for me, full of morals and philosophical issues present in the dialogues, and not just another electronic creation in which I tick off subsequent tasks. And, most importantly, it perfectly combines storytelling with images and words. A nice aspect is also taken into account by the authors of those people who might not like such comments, especially their frequency. In the game options, you can find the appropriate setting that affects how much and how often we hear them. It is not the only facilitator that they have prepared. However, I will keep this a secret, I do not want to rob you of surprise. If you decide to buy the game, you will immediately know which moment it is about.
Dialogues can be really long, so it was important that the narrator’s voice was appropriate and pleasant to the ear, especially considering that Biomutant is also a role-playing game, which is also quite extensive. I must admit that never once did I feel tired or bored of listening to his descriptions. I’m talking about the English version, the Polish version is also available, which is surprising considering it’s a double A game. Unfortunately, I didn’t like it that much. It is too fairy-tale and does not fit the story being told. This, of course, is just my feeling. Nothing prevents you from liking it, because it is made very professionally. However, after playing a few hours in both versions, I chose the former.
I also consider exploring the whole world a plus. The creators are at our disposal at this point – we have a lot of means of transport at our disposal: animal mounts, mechanical mounts, mosses, hot air balloons, water scooters or even a flying suitcase. I will not reveal too much to you here, but I will recommend one thing to you – travel the world and perform tasks organically, that is only when you find them.
