The heroine in mysterious circumstances ends up in the Maw – a terrifying place full of bloodthirsty creatures, and our task is to help her escape. Little Nightmares II similarly takes us to an undefined place and throws us into the middle of the struggle for survival. Isn’t that how every nightmare begins? Here our hero is Mono – a boy who hides his face under a paper bag. At the very beginning of the game, he meets a girl known to the player named Six. Together with her, they move deeper into the dark city consumed by all-consuming evil. Their target is the mysterious Signal Tower, which is the source of the plague and their only hope of saving Six.

This is how our nightmare begins. During the game, we will visit dark, sensational locations – from a school full of riotous students, through a hospital, to a Signal Tower full of secrets. The graphics layer of the game is breathtaking and is probably one of the greatest advantages of the production. The designs of the characters and the whole surrounding world are full of details and create an extremely disturbing vision of a nightmare. Everything in this world is in deep decay. The bodies of the enemies you encounter are deformed, and the places you visit are dripping with dread and shock with the threat lurking at every step. However, the creators do not try to scare us only by what we see, but also by what we hear.

The sound layer in Little Nightmares II is as important as the visual layer. The creators play with sound in a perfect way and use it to build tension and create a picture of the world we get to. When sneaking under the feet of opponents, it is the sound that informs us about the impending threat. As their gaze moves towards us, the music gets louder and higher.

Little Nightmares II is an almost perfect sequel. The game not only maintains the level of its predecessor, but also enriches it with additional mechanics that significantly diversify the gameplay. And this incredibly mysterious plot, full of understatements and unknowns. The presented events are full of twists and turns and leave a great deal of room for interpretation for the viewer. I guarantee that this story will keep your mind occupied long after you finish the game
