About Resonance A Plague Tale Legacy
Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy takes the series in a new direction while remaining firmly rooted in the atmosphere that made A Plague Tale stand out. Set 15 years before A Plague Tale: Requiem, the game follows Sophia, a young plunderer who travels to the mysterious Minotaur’s Island while trying to uncover secrets from her own past.
The island is far from a safe place. Sophia has to deal with hostile soldiers, dangerous paths and an ancient curse connected to the mythology surrounding the island. Exploration is mixed with puzzles, stealth and combat, so moving forward is often about figuring out the safest way through an area rather than simply fighting everything in sight.
One of the more unusual mechanics involves a stolen Minoan sphere, which allows Sophia to manipulate light. The ability is used to solve puzzles and interact with parts of the environment connected to the work of Daedalus. At the same time, something much more dangerous is hunting Sophia through the island, creating a constant feeling that simply stopping for too long could be a mistake.
